1. Masca
Masca village is a small orange town with a lot of history on Tenerife's west coast.
The town is located in the heights and is known for the characteristic mountain that sticks out in front of the town, also known as Masca Valley. Here you will find small craft shops and a few small restaurants and bars.
From Masca you can take your hiking boots and enjoy stunning nature along the hiking trails in the nature reserve, or take a boat trip to Los Gigantes.
2. Alcalá
This is my tip for all ocean lovers! There is a great chance to see sea turtles here, as a family of sea turtles lives in this bay. Take your snorkel and enjoy what there is to see underwater!
There are also opportunities to dive if you want to take a deeper look. Very cozy and cozy little town that also offers small local restaurants and a nice beach promenade.
3. Montaña de Guaza
For those who like a hike and want to get to the top of a peak! From here you have a view of the mountains and the whole of Los Cristianos and Las Américas.
Take a pair of binoculars and see the dolphins that live just below the mountain. Height of about 430 meters above sea level.
4. Playa de Hernández
Located on the west coast and is a small hidden beach with crystal clear water. One of my absolute favorite beaches on Tenerife.
Nice hiking trails in the mountains for those who like an extra walk! This beach is quite steep down, and is therefore not the most child-friendly beach.
Psst! If you have forgotten your swimsuit, it doesn't matter on this beach.
