What is your favourite destination?
One of my favorite destinations so far Is Nice, in the south of France. My soul is at peace there, with its amazing nature and the French Riviera.

However there's something truly special about the Scandinavian summer. All the capitals – Helsinki, Stockholm, Copenhagen, and Oslo – come alive during this time.
The cities transform into vibrant hubs, buzzing with outdoor activities, festivals, and charming sea-view restaurants. Everyone basks in the joy of the season, making the most of the short but sweet summer.
That's why I try to avoid traveling abroad during this time; there's simply too much to experience right here!

Speaking of Scandinavian summer. Can you share your top recommendations when visiting your hometown, Helsinki?
Sure! Helsinki recommendations varies across seasons (like most of the Nordic destinations) so here are my top recommendations during summertime.
Löyly: Sauna & restaurant by the sea
One of my favorite spots to enjoy a beautiful summer day with an ice coffee on their big terrace. They also serve a delicious salmon soup. During summer-weekends there are DJ's and a vibrant vibe. Also a very cool spot during winter if you enjoy sauna and ice baths. Löyly is open all year around.

Huvilakatu: the cutest street in Helsinki
In walking distance from the center of Helsinki and close to the beautiful park Kaivopuisto, one of the oldest parks in Helsinki which is perfect for picnics.

Skiffer Liuskaluoto: Pizza restaurant on a pier
A great pizzaplace surrounded by the sea and beautiful island landscape. It´s a small island that you reach by ferry in 5 minutes. They serve delicious pizzas and goat cheese salad along with a great atmosphere!

Ateneum museum & Helsinki Cathedral
Ateneum is an art museum in Helsinki, established in 1887. It has the biggest collections of classical art in Finland. My favorite painting is The Wounded Angel by Hugo Simberg. The architecture of the museum itself is beautiful. Inside the Museum, you will also find a Cafeteria to enjoy refreshments during your visit.

Helsinki Cathedral Church is a major landmark of the city and one of the most famous historical structures in Finland. During wintertime there is also a big Christmas Market by the senate square.

What´s the most memorable thing you´ve experienced at work?
One special and memorable moment was when we shared our captain Peter’s 20.000 hours of flying. This equals 13 times to the moon and back and 250 times around the Earth! Our co-pilot Andreas made a fantastic announcement for our passengers onboard. It was a great moment to be able to take part in.

Any last tips or travel recomendations?
I actually have one more travel recommendation. Last year I visited Montenegro, which I highly recommend. The landscape is breathtakingly beautiful! We rented a car, and the road trip along the coastline is just incredible with mountains and clear, blue water - not much more one could ask for.
Psst! I share my travel content on Instagram, my username is @hertss, check it out if you like. I take a lot of pictures on my trips, but share them a bit later, as it is important to also enjoy the moment when you are living it.
Your next adventure is one booking away, hope to get to see you onboard!
Live your best life.
Take care, Hertta Alexandra.
