Travelling to/from Dubai? Your hand baggage must not exceed 8 kg. This is due to weight restrictions on board these flights.

On very busy flights we may have to ask some of our passengers to check hand baggage into the cargo hold if our overhead compartments are full – even if your hand baggage is within the permitted size and weight limits. In these situations we recommend that you remove any travel documents, ID papers, medication and fragile or valuable items from your carry-on bag.

Bambini e neonati

Neonato (meno di 2 anni)

Non è prevista alcuna franchigia di bagaglio a mano per i biglietti dei neonati, ma è possibile portare una quantità ragionevole di alimenti per neonati e latte liquido/latte in polvere per il volo.

Checked baggage

La tua franchigia bagaglio da stiva

Il tipo di biglietto determina se il bagaglio da stiva è incluso o se è necessario pagare un piccolo supplemento. Il bagaglio speciale (attrezzatura da sci, sacche da golf, ecc.) non può essere registrato come bagaglio da stiva.

È possibile aggiungere bagagli da stiva a una prenotazione esistente fino a 4 ore prima della partenza. È facile e veloce farlo online o chiamando il nostro Contact Centre.

  • LowFare+: 1 x 23 kg
  • Flex: 2 x 23 kg

Limiti di dimensioni e peso

Quando prepari il viaggio, presta particolare attenzione alle dimensioni e al peso dei tuoi bagagli.

  • Ogni bagaglio non deve pesare più di 32 kg né meno di 2 kg.
  • Il peso totale dei bagagli da stiva non può superare i 74 kg.
  • Ogni bagaglio non deve superare le dimensioni di 250 x 79 x 112 cm (L x A x P) con una circonferenza massima di 300 cm.

Bagaglio in eccesso di peso

Le tariffe per bagaglio in eccesso di peso si applicano a tutti i colli aggiuntivi oltre al limite di 2 bagagli da stiva e 1 bagaglio da stiva piccolo.
Le tariffe per bagaglio in eccesso di peso si applicano anche a qualsiasi bagaglio da stiva di peso superiore a 23 kg: 12 GBP per chilo, per tratta. Qualsiasi bagaglio di piccole dimensioni con peso superiore a 10 kg sarà considerato come bagaglio da stiva standard e la tariffa sarà calcolata di conseguenza.

Bambini e neonati

La quantità di bagagli che puoi portare dipenderà dall’età del tuo bambino e dal tipo di biglietto che hai acquistato per lui.

Neonato (meno di 2 anni)

  • 5 kg di bagaglio da stiva inclusi (nel tuo bagaglio o in un bagaglio separato)
  • Un seggiolino auto e/o un passeggino inclusi nel bagaglio da stiva

Bambini (da 2 a 11 anni)

Sports equipment

Prima di volare

  1. Controlla che la tua attrezzatura sportiva sia della misura giusta (evita costi aggiuntivi indesiderati!).
  2. Etichetta la tua attrezzatura e riponila in una custodia rigida o in una borsa imbottita.
  3. Assicurati di effettuare il check-in e di consegnarci i bagagli almeno un’ora prima della partenza.

Skis and snowboards

Max 23 kg

Off to a winter wonderland? You can bring a ski- or snowboard bag and a smaller bag for a pair of ski or snowboard boots, with a combined weight of 23 kilos. The bags can only contain relevant skiing or snowboarding equipment (that means sportswear need to go in your regular checked baggage).

Surfboards and kite equipment

The bag can only contain relevant surfboard or kite equipment (that means sportswear need
to go in your regular checked baggage). Make sure your board's no larger than 250 x 79 x 112 cm.

Bikes

Protect your bike

  • Your bike must be packed in a hard case designed especially for transporting bikes to avoid damage.
  • For bikes not packed in a hard case, the handles must be turned around, pedals taken off, tires deflated and other additional parts removed or covered.
  • We don't sell protective bike boxes at the airport, but you can rent hard bike cases at selected airports.

 Electric bikes cannot be transported as checked baggage, even if the battery is disconnected or removed as they are considered to be hazardous goods.

  • one tank harness, one tank pressure gauge

Sports weapons and ammunition

Max 23 kg

Weapons and ammunition for hunting or competitions can be carried in your checked baggage at an extra fee, but as safety is always our first priority, there are some restrictions.

Conditions for travelling with a weapon:

  • You must advise our check-in staff if you're travelling with a weapon or ammunition.
  • You must carry identification and documentation from your relevant state agency that indicates you are authorised to carry the weapon and relevant ammunition.
  • You can pack the weapon in a hard case or a soft bag. This has to be locked.
  • If possible, the weapon shall be set in an inoperable state by removing a vital part. The parts may be transported in the same locked hard case or soft bag.
  • You may bring up to 5 kg of ammunition. Depending on the rules of the departing country, ammunition may be packed in the same locked hard case or soft bag as the weapon if designed for it, or in or as checked baggage in a manufacturers original package or in an ammunition box designed for that purpose. The ammunition must be protected against shock and secured against movement inside the package. Remember to verify which exact rules apply for your travel.

Other sports equipment

You're welcome to bring other types of sports equipment we haven't mentioned as checked baggage, provided they fit within our size and weight limits.

This equipment will count towards your checked baggage allowance, and any item over the 2 bag limit or over 23 kg will be charged as excess baggage.

Size and weight limits

Check that your sports equipment is the right size (avoid those unwanted excess charges!).

  • We will not accept any item that's heavier than 32 kg or lighter than 2 kg.
  • Your gear must not exceed 250 x 79 x 112 cm (L x H x W) with max. circumference 300 cm.

  • Excess baggage

    Excess baggage charges apply to overweight items – 15 EUR per kilo, per leg.

Strumenti musicali in cabina

Comprendiamo che a volte vorresti portare il tuo strumento con te a bordo.

Trasporta il tuo strumento come bagaglio a mano

È possibile portare a bordo un piccolo strumento musicale, purché non superi il limite di peso consentito per il bagaglio a mano previsto dalla tariffa del tuo biglietto. Se viaggi con uno strumento di grandi dimensioni, come un violino o una viola, puoi portarlo con te al posto del bagaglio a mano. Lo strumento può essere leggermente più grande di un normale bagaglio a mano, ma non deve superare le dimensioni di 90 x 35 x 20 cm e il limite di peso consentito per il tipo di biglietto acquistato. Faremo tutto il possibile per sistemare il tuo strumento nella cabina, ma ti consigliamo di arrivare al gate con anticipo rispetto all’orario di imbarco, in modo da assicurarti di trovare spazio nelle cappelliere. Se non c’è spazio sufficiente, potrebbe essere necessario imbarcare lo strumento nella stiva.

Prenota un posto per il tuo strumento

Se il tuo strumento musicale supera le dimensioni di 90 x 35 x 20 cm e desideri trasportarlo in cabina, devi prenotare un posto a sedere separato (dimensioni massime 140 x 46 x 30 cm). Fra gli strumenti di queste dimensioni rientrano chitarre e violoncelli. La prenotazione per te e il tuo strumento deve essere effettuata tramite il nostro Contact Centre almeno 48 ore prima della partenza.

Strumenti in stiva

Il tuo strumento può viaggiare anche in stiva: le condizioni variano a seconda delle sue dimensioni.
Tutti gli strumenti registrati in stiva devono essere riposti in una custodia rigida progettata appositamente per lo strumento specifico.

Strumenti di dimensioni inferiori a 90 x 75 x 55 cm

  • Puoi portare il tuo strumento musicale come parte del bagaglio da stiva consentito.

Se il tuo strumento pesa più di 23 kg, dovrai pagare il supplemento bagaglio in eccesso di peso per ogni kg in eccesso.

Strumenti di dimensioni superiori a 90 x 75 x 55 cm

  • Non è necessario prenotare in anticipo. Basta presentarsi in aeroporto con lo strumento con sufficiente anticipo, organizzare il trasporto e pagare la tariffa in loco (ad eccezione dei contrabbassi).

Il tuo strumento non deve superare le dimensioni di 250 x 79 x 112 cm (L x A x P) con una circonferenza massima di 300 cm.

Suoni il contrabbasso?

  • Chiama il nostro Contact Centre per prenotare un posto per il tuo contrabbasso almeno 48 ore prima del volo, per assicurarti che abbiamo spazio a sufficienza.

Non ci sono limiti di dimensioni per questi strumenti, ma abbiamo spazio solo per 2 contrabbassi per volo. Ti verrà richiesto di pagare il supplemento per il tuo strumento musicale in aeroporto il giorno della partenza.

Supplemento per strumenti musicali

Tutti i voli: 45 GBP per articolo, per tratta.

Dovrai inoltre pagare un supplemento per bagaglio in eccesso di peso (12 GBP per kg) per ogni chilo oltre i 23 kg.

Restricted items

Liquids in hand baggage

 You can bring a limited amount of liquid, cream and gel through security:

  • Max. 100 mls per container
  • You must pack all containers in one transparent, resealable bag (max. 1L)
The following items may be allowed over these limits:
  • Baby food and milk/formula needed on the flight – you may have to taste test if asked by security staff.
  • Medication needed for your trip – label it and bring a prescription or medical certificate in your hand baggage.
  • Tax free – pay careful attention to the restrictions on tax free liquids for your destination or transit stop.

Restrictions may vary depending on the airport you're flying from – please check the airport's website.

Don't pack in your carry-on

Make sure you know what's in your hand baggage, and be sure to remove any of these items:

  • weapons and replicas of weapons
  • sharp items
  • explosives, flammables and chemical substances
  • dangerous goods

Don't pack in your checked baggage

Be mindful when packing your checked bags, and make sure you don't include any of the following:

  • valuable items (e.g. cash, jewellery, precious stones, electronic devices, cameras etc.)
  • fragile items (e.g. breakable items, glasses etc.)
  • perishable foods
  • keys, work documents, ID papers
  • medicine and medical certificates
  • electric cigarettes

Packing conditions

Pack smart

There's lots you can do to make sure your belongings are well-protected and arrive safe and sound on your flight.

  • Label your bags with your name and phone number.
  • Pack carefully so things inside your baggage don't move around or fall out.
  • Take out travel insurance for valuable or fragile items.
  • Leave out any restricted items and dangerous goods.

Use a protective case

Certain items are not designed for air travel and really need extra protection. We strongly recommend always packing these items in a hard or padded case to avoid any potential damage:

  • strollers and car seats
  • bikes, golf equipment, skis and other sports equipment
  • paintings
  • other delicate and valuable items

Our liability is limited

Our liability, along with all airlines, is limited in accordance with the Montreal Convention when it comes to baggage. Avoid any unneccessary surprises and make sure your belongings are packed in line with the above conditions before you set off on your trip.
