A restaurant has been on this site since 1892 and while the latest incarnation of what the locals call ‘Lompa’ nods to the past serving up traditional Norwegian food in its grand, very imposing dining room, it’s done with a very modern twist. Lobster foam and cauliflower cream sit alongside pan-fried Pollack as a main on one of their three-course menus, their wine cellar is formidable and their draught and bottled beers numerous. An incredibly popular place for parties and work gatherings on Friday and Saturday nights, booking is recommended for large groups.
