Providence at a glance
Why visit Providence?
Providence may have made its name in the 19th century as America’s most successful textile town, but nowadays it’s developed into one of the country’s hottest foodie cities – with quick access to some of the best beaches on the east coast.
The city has one of the biggest Italian populations in the US – visit the neighbourhood of Federal Hill for old-school delis and Italian bakeries.
