Get ready to fly

There is a lot to think about when traveling. We want your travel to be as easy and efficient as possible, and below you can read more about our recommendations for traveling with us. We look forward to welcoming you onboard.

Before your travel

  • Keep necessary documents and important medicines on your person or in your hand baggage.
  • If you have any special needs, flying with pets or if children are flying alone, make sure to arrive at the airport in good time, and that the check in process is done minimum one hour before departure.

We encourage you to limit the amount of hand baggage you bring into the cabin and check in your baggage if possible. Please check your ticket type and what it includes. You can check your ticket type here.

We recommend stowing baggage under the seat in front of you and limiting the use of the overhead lockers, to make the boarding process as efficient as possible.

Remember to keep important documents and medicines on your person or in your hand baggage.

You can read more about baggage here.

We strongly recommend downloading our Travel Assistant app before travelling – a helping hand to make getting onboard as easy as possible. In the app you will be able to check in, see your travel documents, order extra baggage, and much more.

At many airports, children and families with children have their own fast track at security. This will give you less time in queues and more time to enjoy your travel together.

There is at least one changing table on each of our aircrafts.

Remember that infants and children need a valid travel document. Please make sure that the name on the ticket matches the name in the passport.

You can bring as much food that you may need for the duration of your flight. This includes liquids, such as baby formula.

You can read more about travelling with children here.

Planning a trip with your four-legged friend? Make sure that you read our terms and conditions for pets onboard our flights.

You can read more about travelling with pets here.

We understand that everyone’s needs are different. If you need any form of extra assistance during your flight, please let us know well before your flight, so we know how we can help.

You can read more about special assistance here.

Face masks are not required on board our flights. Those who still wish to wear a face mask onboard are very welcome to do so.

At the airport

  • Arrive well in advance of scheduled departure time (minimum 2 hours).
  • Limit the amount of hand baggage you bring into the cabin.
  • Check in online, via our Travel Assistant app

In general, we suggest allowing a minimum of two hours before departure time. However, you should check your departure airport's website for more information.

We encourage you to use our online services during your travel. You can check your flight status, check-in online and scan your own boarding pass through our app or website.

At many airports you can also use the self-service check in kiosk located in the terminal. On the self-service kiosk, you can check-in, print your bag tag and boarding pass.

After your bag has been tagged, you can simply deliver it at the self-service bag-drop.

Fast Track is the quickest way to pass through airport security, using a priority lane. You can add Fast Track to your booking up to 30 minutes prior to departure.

Our Flex tickets include Fast Track on selected airports. If you hold a Lowfare or Lowfare+ ticket, you can add Fast Track for 12-14 GBP up to 30 minutes prior to departure.

You can read more about Fast Track and availability here.

First onboard – stress free. Be one of the first on board the aircraft. Priority Boarding is included in our Flex tickets and can be purchased if you are holding a Lowfare or a Lowfare+ ticket for just 7 GBP (domestic) or 9 GBP (international) per person per leg.

When the boarding starts, we will ask passengers with Priority Boarding (Boarding group A) to come to the front of the line and you will be amongst the first to enter the aircraft.

Priority Boarding can be added to your ticket up to 1 hour prior to departure.

Please make sure to be at the gate well ahead of when the boarding starts. Priority Boarding will only be available until the boarding for the remaining passengers has opened.

You can read more about Priority Boarding here.

Onboard your flight

  • We recommend stowing baggage under the seat in front of you and limiting the use of the overhead lockers, to make the boarding process as efficient as possible.
  • Please check your boarding card info regarding where you are seated. If you are seated in row 17-31/32 (depending on aircraft) you will in some cases, be asked to board the aircraft from the rear door.

Do you have a favourite seat? Either if its window or aisle, remember to reserve a seat so you can sit where you want. We advise you to reserve online as early as possible.

Seat reservation can be added up to 1 hour prior to departure.
