Behaviour on board

Smoking is prohibited on all Norwegian flights. At the discretion of the airline, Norwegian will offer for sale and serve alcoholic beverages to passengers onboard. However, bringing drinks containing alcohol to consume onboard Norwegian aircraft is not permitted, and all passengers onboard must respect this regulation.

All Norwegian’s flight captains have the authority to restrain passengers if they become a nuisance towards other passengers or become unruly and obnoxious towards Norwegian’s cabin crew because of their behaviour, or if they create some other kind of disturbance. In such an event, the flight captain is authorised to take the action he/she deems necessary.

Measures employed include physical restraint and, if necessary, complete removal from the aircraft. Making an unscheduled landing during the flight may be necessary to hand passengers who persistently refuse to obey the captain’s instructions over to airport security personnel or the local police once the aircraft has landed.

If a passenger causes any damage, or if his or her unruly behaviour incurs any expenses for Norwegian (including the considerable cost of making an unscheduled landing during a flight), Norwegian will hold the passenger financially liable for these costs.
