Teatro Romano

Unearthed beside the Alcazaba as recently as 1951, the Roman Theatre dates back to the first century AD during the time of the Emperor of Augustus. In use for another 200 years, it was picked apart by the later Arab rulers to help build the Alcazaba above. After decades of restoration, today it is used for outdoor concerts in summer.
